Scooters and Twitter

Does anyone else notice that it is SO much harder to blog when you have little to procrastinate? I mean, when I was in school and had to write papers and study for tests a little blogging was a welcome break while I was at the library. But now, I am just working and having a great summer and have no need to procrastinate anything, maybe other than shaving. So I expect my blogging will pick up when I start medical school and have things to procrastinate again. But by then, who knows, maybe the Replacement Friend blog will be replaced by Mike and Whitney's marriage blog where we learn about their hilarious adventures as a newly wed couple. For example...

"Whitney and I just moved into our new apartment. We totally love it! It is such a good feeling to finally have our own place. So what did we have to do first? Well, first we had to set up the utilities. So I called the electric blah blah blah blah blah"

Seriously though, Mike and Whitney put up a blog. I can't wait to hear about your adventures. Anyways, back to the point: blogging. I have had two significant events recently.

First! My scooter. Can I just tell you a little about Dave "The Magician" who owns the Scooter Lounge. He is incredible! He is a friend of Carina's and Jen's (Lisha's sisters). And thanks to this little hook up, he basically miracle worked over my scooter's centrifugal clutch. I won't go into many details but he thought of solutions to my problem that I hadn't thought of from the hours and hours and hours I have spent trying to get my scooter back to normal. So basically, a HUGE shout out to the Scooter Lounge!

Second! Twitter. So guess what? You can either visit my twitter page at twitter.com/richrich OR just follow my updates on the little widget that I put on the Replacement Friend blog (it is above the poll, on the right). I'm trying to ride the wave of technology. I have this fascination on being on waves. Like when Newseek or the Economist write about twitter and people are like "What is this new-fangled Twitter?", I can say back "Woah Grandpa, you have to catch up or I'll leave you in my wake". Then, of course, I'll put on my shades and catch a CG-wave nearby with my surfboard.

so what's funny about this is that about a month ago I said to mike, "do we have to make one of those lame couples blogs where you just talk about lame house stuff and garbage?" funny that you said we should start one up.

If we do, I promise it will not be lame house stuff. And no garbage.

Whits-

I would prefer all the lame house stuff to Mike's "science" talk. Over my head...WAY over my head. But the house stuff? That I can get behind. I just get other's to do it for me.

Ricky you have such a way with words - like I can actually hear the emphasis you will put in some of these phrases. I feel like I am drowning in your wake because you are riding that wave so hard.
